Introducing Acadeum
Acadeum is a social enterprise owned by the Lumina Foundation, ECMC Group, and others and was founded in 2016 to improve college completion rates through course sharing. To do this, Acadeum built a platform (Acadeum Course Share) to connect students needing courses to complete their degrees with the empty seats at another institution to improve outcomes for all through the most extensive network in education. The first student enrolled in 2016. Seven years later, more than 24,000 students across nearly 500 institutions have completed courses on Acadeum. We are moving beyond the United States and into international markets.
The top reason students graduate late is course availability. Thousands of seats are empty each year in online education. Acadeum has built the technology and network to facilitate course sharing across institutions worldwide and between higher education and high schools. Through Acadeum’s expansive network, institutions can now collaborate with like-minded schools near and far to expand their capacity, improve student progress, eliminate the headaches associated with transfer credit, and generate new revenue.

Acadeum Degree Share provides a seamless solution for international agents and institutions to create new pathways for F-1 students, including hybrid (2+2) undergrad/(1+1) grad programs, access fully online degrees from top US colleges and universities in the US (and beyond), and develop new partnerships to support global education.
